If you are hired after the 15th of
the month then your 6 month increase should take effect 6 months after your start rate NOT
the 1st of the following month. For example, start date is November 20, 2000. Six month
increase would be May 20, 2001 and not June 1, 2001. Somehow Payroll was under a
"misunderstanding".

ATTENTION NEW EMPLOYEES......
If you are denied wage credit at the start
of your employment, ask your Chief Steward to review the Wage Credit Guidelines. You may
qualify for wage credit and not know it.
If you are brought into a discussion regarding your attendance, make sure you have union
representation with you.
If you are having problems in the class, see your Chief Steward.
You DON'T come into work on your own time to
do work. Nor do you work through your lunch or break to "catch up". And
you definitely don't take work home with you!

Your union dues are 1.3% of your basic wage rate and
are deducted automatically from your paycheck on a weekly basis. If you choose to become a
non-member/Agency Fee Payer, should you change your mind at a later date and request
membership, you would be required to pay a $50.00 initiation fee. (Per Bylaws)
