CWA ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE for
CWA LOCAL 13500 MEMBERS

CONVENTION - The highest governing authority of the Union. Approximately 2500 locally elected delegates and alternates attend the CWA Convention.

EXECUTIVE BOARD - Elected every three years and consists of:

The PRESIDENT – Larry Cohen

The SECRETARY-TREASURER- Annie Hill

The EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT - Jeff Rechenbach    

Eighteen VICE PRESIDENTS consisting of:

         Eight DISTRICT VICE-PRESIDENTS

         Ten INTERNATIONAL VICE PRESIDENTS for Communications and

         Technologies; Printing, Publishing, and Media Workers; Public and Health Care

         Workers; Telecommunications; NABET-CWA; TNG-CWA; and IUE-CWA.

DISTRICTS - CWA is structured into 8 geographical districts; each District has a Vice President and Staff.

CWA Local 13500 is part of DISTRICT 13, which consists of 64 Locals in PA and DE.

     STAFF REPRESENTATIVE FOR LOCAL 13500 – Jim Byrne

LOCAL 13500 is a state-wide Local; the executive office is in Pittsburgh. Members elect local officers and the delegates to the CWA Convention.

     PRESIDENT – Sandra Kmetyk

     EXECUTIVE SECRETARY-TREASURER - Terri Senich

Local 13500 is divided into 5 geographical DIVISIONS, each with an Executive Vice President who sits on Local 13500’s Executive Board and a Secretary-Treasurer.

     AT&T Division:  Executive VP - Richard Hunt; Secretary-Treasurer - Pete Conchilla

     Central Division: Executive VP - Julie DaLoisio; Secretary-Treasurer - Tace Popp

     Eastern Division: Executive VP - Michael McCalla; Secretary-Treasurer - Karen Sparks

     Philadelphia Division: Executive VP - Jazmin Torres; Secretary-Treasurer - Shirley Komar

     Pittsburgh-Western Division: Executive VP - Carol Coultas; Secretary-Treasurer - Kate McTighe

CHIEF STEWARDS and STEWARDS in the offices within the Divisions report to their respective Executive Vice President.

At each level of CWA, the members set policy and control the finances. All members have the opportunity to participate in their local union in many different ways, including serving on a committee or as a steward or mobilization coordinator. All CWA members, including International Officers, Staff, and Local Officers, must abide by the CWA Constitution as well as their Local’s Bylaws.
