WEAR RED EVERY THURSDAY!!!
TRUST THAT IT MATTERS; MANAGERS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO COUNT HOW MANY
MEMBERS ARE WEARING RED!!

PED FORMS
PED forms are now processed on line and must be updated every year.
Don’t forget to also input any adders for completed courses and
educational degrees.

UNION REPRESENTATION
The company is under no obligation to offer you Union
representation, Remember to ask for Union Representation whenever
brought into a meeting with management that you feel COULD possibly
lead to disciplinary action.
If the employer denies this request, then ask that they write down
on paper the date and note that they are denying your request and
have them sign it. If it truly does not warrant union representation
then they shouldn't have a problem doing this, otherwise make sure
you have a Union Rep present.

OCCUPATIONAL ILLNESS
Don't forget, if you have an accident or have a medical problem
associated with your job, you must fill out an Accident/Illness
report in order for it to be considered an occupational illness.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
FOR YOU
In order for any grievance to be heard by the company, the Union
must advise the company of our intent to grieve within 30 days of
the action. Please be mindful of this important timeframe.
Here are some of the more common grievances filed:
1. Bypass to another Title or Lateral Transfer.
2. Advancement on Steps in the Regional Attendance Plan.
3. Any Disciplinary Action or Adverse Entries to Personnel File
4. Unsatisfactory Performance Ratings or Placement Performance
Improvement and/or
Development Plan.

NEW EMPLOYEES
If you are denied wage credit at the start of your employment, ask
the Chief Steward to review the Wage Credit Guidelines. You MAY
qualify and not be aware of it.
If you are brought into a discussion regarding your attendance,
please make sure you have a Union representative with you.
If you are having problems in the class, see your Chief Steward.
You don't come into work on your own time to do work. Nor do you
work through your lunch or break to “catch up” and you definitely
don't take work home with you!
