KIDS IN THE
WORKPLACE
What is it?
Kids in the Workplace provides school-age child care for children, Kindergarten
through 12 years old, on school holidays when Bell Atlantic Network Services is open for
business. Parents bring their children to work with them where they are cared for in a
reserved space, such as a conference room or other vacant office space. Children are signed in and out of care by their
parent.
Who is eligible?
Bell Atlantic Network Services employees working in or near the locations where the
program is operating are eligible to access this service for their dependent children.
Employees are required to register children in advance to reserve space in the program. Priority for care slots will be given to
Associates.
When will care be available?
The dates for this program will be determined according to registration demand. The hours of care are 8am to 6pm or customized
according to location needs.
What is the cost?
There is no cost to the individual employee. This
program is funded by Bell Atlantic Network Services Group Companies, in separate
initiatives with the Communications Workers of American (through the Advisory Council of
Family Care) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (through the Advisory
Council on Career and Life Strategies).
If your work location does not currently have Kids in the Workplace, please call your
division office for more details.
